Division of Medicine Seminar Programme Internal Speaker Series.

Dr Chiara Bacchelli is a Principal Research Associate in Personalised Medicine and Head of Experimental and Personalised Medicine Section at the UCL Institute of Child Health with the main objective of developing systems and strategies to deliver precision medicine. Dr Bacchelli has been working at the forefront of human genetics for the past 16 years and specialised in the identification of novel genes in rare congenital disorders. She has been the manager of the Centre for Translational Omics-GOSgene at the UCL ICH from 2010 to 2013. Funded by the GOSH Biomedical Research Centre of the NIHR, GOSgene facilitates rapid gene identification in uncharacterised genetic diseases by using Next Generation Sequencing technologies.
