Modern tort law theories conceived by western scholars bear many similarities to those developed 800 years ago in Egypt by Maimonides, the 12th-century Jewish polymath. This lecture by Yuval Sinai (Yale University) presents his complete theory, set in the context of other pre-modern tort theories.
