Speaker information

Helen Roberts, Professor of Child health Research, UCL Institute of Child Health
Dr Patricia Lucas, Bristol

Dr Patricia Lucas (Bristol) and Professor Helen Roberts (UCL) will describe a number of studies of children and families they have been involved in over the last decade and the ways in which they have informed, misinformed, or had no effect on policies and practices. These studies include mentoring as part of our what works for children initiative http://www.whatworksforchildren.org.uk/, a systematic review on the effects in incomes on outcomes, tackling overweight and obesity, Healthy Start vouchers and vitamins, and evidence about child impacts of parental employment.
