Computational Psychiatry Course 2014

4th floor seminar room | Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging (link Map)
12 Queen Square | London | WC1N 3BG | United Kingdom

Time: Wednesdays, 11-1 pm, March 12 – June 04, 2014. We are glad to announce an open course on Computational Psychiatry which will take place this spring at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, UCL. This course brings together experts in neuroscience, psychiatry, decision sciences and computational modelling. It aims to define problems in psychiatric disorder quantitatively, and to train the next generation of scientists and clinicians to apply computational models to future diagnosis and treatment strategies. Understanding mental function in computational terms will provide a deeper, more quantitative, insight into the mechanistic underpinnings of healthy (and unhealthy) cognition. Crucially, it can also unite disparate biological, psychological and social risk factors for mental illness within one explanatory framework.
