UCL - Institute of the Americas (UCL-IA) is pleased to join efforts with Nuffield College, Oxford, to host this workshop.

Distinguished guest speakers Dr Maria Amparo Casar (CIDE, Mexico), Dr Juan Carlos Dominguez (Instituto Mora, Mexico), Dr Juan Carlos Boue (Oxford Institute for Energy Studies) and Rodrigo Aguilera (Economist Intelligence Unit), amongst others, join UCL-IA's Prof Kevin Middlebrook and Nuffield's Laurence Whitehead to look closely into and discuss the first few months of the current PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional) administration. Please consult the program for further details.

The PRI returned to power after a twelve-year hiatus in the opposition, on the strength of a controversial election that led its candidate, Mr Enrique Pena Nieto, to the Presidency. He was sworn in on December 1 2012.

Attendance is free of charge but registration is required.
