UCL-Institute of the Americas proudly hosts Dr Jago Cooper, Americas curator at the British Museum to deliver this lecture. The British Museum contains one of the finest collections of American material culture in the world. In this talk, Dr Jago Cooper will provide an overview of the Americas collections at the British Museum, contextualize their current use within the Museum and discuss plans for their future development. The talk will reflect upon plans and opportunities for public engagement, exhibitions, research, fieldwork, and teaching in order to strengthen collaborative ties and contacts with UCL Institute of Americas.
