Speaker information

Professor David Forgacs, Professor of Italian, UCL, David Forgacs (Italian, UCL) was previously Research Professor in Modern Studies at the British School at Rome from 2006 to 2009.

In this seminar, Professor Forgacs will report on the research project he carried out there, which involved an investigation of written, photographic and filmed sources on the social history of marginality and exclusion in Italy and its colonies. He spent the last 6 months of the project in Ethiopia, examining local sources relating to the Italian occupation of 1936-41.
