Fifth Floor Lecture Theatre | Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL (link Map)
183 Euston Road | London | NW1 2BE | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Alumni | Public | Student
Admission: £5.00 a day
Ticketing: Pre-booking essential

This conference will seek to encourage debate by bringing historians of South Asia and specialists in the history of medicine in South Asia together. It will also aim to raise points of methodological and theoretical interest in how and where the 'medical' emerges as a category for analysis and be an opportunity to reflect on how the historiography of medicine in South Asia has been shaped, foregrounding questions of the archive and the modes around which research into the history of medicine in South Asia has been conducted. The conference will cover a broad range of economic, socio-cultural and political perspectives and which intersect with the 'medical' in its broadest sense.

Please register your interest by 26 April 2010.
