Drawing on their research on medieval art and writing, the panel will show how ‘queer’ is present at the foundations of the medieval Church and State, from transvestite and zombie saints to queer Arthurian knights. The panel Dr Jane Gilbert, Dr Bob Mills and Alicia Spencer-Hall also look forward to hearing the views of the audience on these medieval figures and how they challenge today’s societies.

This discussion will be followed by a drinks reception.
