Farr Short Courses - National Registries: from Audit to Research

The national cardiovascular registries held by the National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (NICOR) are a resource without parallel anywhere else in the world.

This one day course will explore the value of this data for research into cardiovascular outcomes at national, hospital and individual practitioner level. It will explore how linking registries with other datasets enriches and extends resource with huge potential for low cost high volume clinical trials. The course will be of interest to academics and clinicians using national audit data for research, students of epidemiology, computer science or public health and anyone with an interest in electronic health records or big data.
