This workshop attempts to apprehend and comprehend the city through walking and photography. Always, when we create a city definition certain scales are weighted with more importance, and at the same time, other scales are silenced. In any case, you need to decide because talking about the city is always an indication and a mistake.

For this workshop, a small corner of a city will be focused on, to search for traces of how communities are built.

You'll be met on Stoke Newington High Street and be introduced to a manifesto providing a context to the workshop and a platform from which to start discussions. You'll then walk around the area, hear from three local leaders, and read from authors who take the city as their muse and those scholars who have analysed the role of walking in daily life.

Camera (or mobile that takes photos) required and dress for the weather!
