Russell Benson, Community and Events Manager, MS Society

Many voluntary sector professionals agree that 2015 was one of the worst years for public mistrust in charities and charity mismanagement, particularly related to fundraising.

With a diverse, curious and engaged audience, Russell Benson hopes to:

  • Examine the issues that led to numerous charity fundraising headlines in 2015
  • Explore the relationships between charities and the media, governments, supporters and the general public, specifically in the context of finance and fundraising
  • Discuss how different stakeholders can help improve practices and trust in charity fundraising from now on
