Prof Sacha Stern, UCL Hebrew and Jewish Studies

This lecture will trace the history of time visualisation, from ancient Egypt to early modern Europe. It will attempt to explain why visual representations of time developed in some ancient and medieval cultures, but remained unknown in others.
