Abstract: Linnaeus Centre HEAD at Linkoping University Sweden conducts multidisciplinary research in the field of HEaring And Deafness. The mission of the centre is to understand the mechanisms behind human communication at all levels of explanation from sensory, perceptual and neural to cognitive and social as well as how compensation and intervention can support communication in a range of different situations and lead to long term plasticity. HEAD Graduate School provides research training in the same field. This talk will give an overview of the HEAD organization and a range of research projects in progress.
