sPins is an audio-visual installation inspired by the natural instinct of brushing long grass. The installation translates the gesture of touch into an interactive architectural performance & is part of the Bloomsbury Festival.
Designed by Ivana Petrusevski & Deyan Nenov (MSc Adaptive Architecture and Computation) sPins is commissioned through a UCL Grand Challenges project led by Dr Claire McAndrew (Research Associate, The Bartlett School of Graduate Studies) & Dr Sonali Wayal (Research Associate at Department of Infection & Population Health), in collaboration with Dr Anna Mavrogianni (Lecturer at The Bartlett School of Graduate Studies) & six postgraduate students: Nikhilesh Sinha (Development Planning Unit), Odysseas Dlakakis-Damianidis (The Bartlett School of Architecture), Emilie Glazer (Anthropology), Manu Savani (School of Public Policy/SPLASH) Keith O'Brien (Cognitive, Perceptual & Brain Sciences) & Sarah O'Farrell (Cognitive, Perceptual & Brain Sciences).
