CLS conference 2015: the value of cohort studies for social investigation

This conference aims to showcase research using cohort data, covering a broad range of themes relating to the life course, such as Health and well-being Child development, Education, Methodology and Social mobility. It will provide a forum for researchers and academics to share ideas, and to demonstrate how research using cohort data following individuals across their lives can inform policy.

The keynote speaker is Professor James P. Smith, who holds the Distinguished Chair in Labour Markets and Demographic Studies at the RAND Corporation.

Other confirmed speakers include Professor Paul Gregg (University of Bath), Professor Kathleen Kiernan (University of York), Professor Yvonne Kelly (University College London), and Dr George Ploubidis (UCL Institute of Education).
