For his inaugural lecture as a UCL professor, Plattard will discuss how space policy across Europe has moved on from being a simple matter of state funding, and is now tightly intertwined with economic and social factors.

Serge Plattard is a former representative of the French space agency (CNES) in Brussels, head of the European Space Policy Institute and science and technology counsellor at the French Embassy in London.
