At the 4th annual UCL Migration Research Unit Student Conference, postgraduates from a wide range of disciplines will share their research on the complexities at the intersection of gender and migration. Topics will include the place of LGBTQI migrants in the asylum system, and the intersectionality reflected in migrant activism.
The conference will conclude with keynote speaker Zrinka Bralo, director of the Migrant & Refugee Communities Forum. A journalist, campaigner for refugee rights and founder of the Women on the Move Awards, she will share her perspectives on the place of gender in migration studies and activism today.
