This is a panel discussion featuring Nicola Herbertson (CEO of social firm HAO2) and Alejandra Palermo (Open Innovation manager at the Royal Society of Chemistry). In the chair is Melanie Smallman of the UCL Responsible Research and Innovation hub.

The discussion will focus on the opportunities for business and industry in building a better relationship between science and society. The event is open to everyone interested in science and its place in politics and society. As well as all interested members of the public, we welcome researchers, policymakers, businesses, civil society and members of educational organisations.

The event is part of the European Union's RRI Tools project, which is funding a hub for responsible research and innovation at UCL.
