Speaker information

Professor Susan Michie, UCL Clinical, Educational, and Health Psychology

BCM’s inaugural event on Thursday evening, 1 November, will start with an introduction to the science of behaviour change and a framework that combines population, organisational and individual approaches to behaviour change. We will also consider the evidence of effective interventions for patients and health professionals as well as the general population. There will be contributions from people who have tried to implement evidence-based techniques to change their own behaviour, sharing their experiences of “doing it in practice”, and the chair will encourage questions and comments from as many of the audience as possible.
