This presentation discusses how medical students’ practice-based learning experiences might be effectively integrated into their programs. It draws upon the work within and findings of a recently completed National Teaching Fellowship - Curriculum and pedagogic bases for effectively integrating practice-based experiences within higher education that comprised 20 work-integrated learning projects across a diverse range of teaching areas in 6 Australian universities.
