What explains the willingness of "Ordinary Men" to murder Jews during the Holocaust and the willingness of ordinary Germans to accept and participate in Hitler's Nazi state? This lecture argues that both churches and universities in Germany expressed far more support for the Nazi regime than resistance against it, thus giving their parishioners and students license to participate.

Reception at 6.15pm in the Terrace Restaurant / Lecture at 6.45pm in Gustave Tuck lecture theatre.
