'The Tyranny of Time' by Rabbi Azariah Ibn Ephraim Ben Joab of Modena was composed in 1481 in the Italian town of Vasto. Not only is it a valuable historical document it is also a depiction of a fascinating spiritual voyage in which the author advances from doubt and tumult of soul towards certainty and the peace of mind of innocent belief.
Reception at 6.15pm in the South Cloisters / Lecture at 6.45pm in the Gustave Tuck lecture theatre.
