Speaker information

Dr Laura Nelson, Womankind Worldwide, Dr Laura Nelson is a writer, political blogger and senior manager in a healthcare charity. She has a doctorate in neuroscience and writes the Delilah blog.

Many women in developing countries do not have the rights that we take for granted in the UK. Womankind, a leading international women's human rights and development organisation, supports partners in 15 countries and aims to eliminate violence against women, to increase women's participation in civil and political processes and to mobilise political will and resources for women's rights and development. Dr Laura Nelson speaks about the women's stories, the journeys they take and how we can support them along the way.
