This is the last consultation of the year and it will show the final Masterplans for UCL East and the Stratford Waterfront before the submission of the planning application in December 2016. UCL East is the biggest expansion of UCL since its opening in 1826.

It is anticipated to deliver at least 125,000 sq m of Gross Internal Area (GIA), with Phase 1 representing around 50,000 sq m, for approximately 3000 students and over 600 staff at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The new campus will be neighbour to the Stratford Waterfront comprising of London’s College of Fashion (UAL), Sadler’s Wells and V&A. Together they form the Cultural and Education District. The CED will fulfil the Olympic Games 2012 legacy of regenerating the area by providing new opportunities for innovation, businesses, apprenticeships and cultural events.

In December 2016 the outline planning application will be submitted with the submission of detailed applications for Phase 1 being anticipated in autumn 2017.
