After last year’s success, UCL Library Special Collections will be holding a second Dante Day to celebrate the writer’s work and showcase UCL’s outstanding collection of rare and early printed editions of Dante. The event will include readings from Dante’s Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise, talks about the poet and his works, and the opportunity to see some of the rare and early printed Dante editions recently catalogued in UCL Library Special Collections. The day is designed to be suitable both for people who are new to Dante and for those who already have a specialist interest in his work, in medieval or early-modern literature and history, in poetry more generally, or in rare and early printed books.
Thanks to funding from the Italian Cultural Institute, we are able to offer free tickets to staff and students from UCL. If you would like to attend, email Warburg@sas.ac.uk, giving your name and department and remember to bring your UCL card with you on the day.
