Open to: Academic | Alumni | Public | Student

Is our inner voice a private dialogue, and what might this tell us about how we think? How does it develop, and why are voices so evocative and powerful? How do sounds and voices affect our memories and our sense of self? These and related topics will be covered in an evening discussion between psychologist and novelist Charles Fernyhough and film-maker Shona Illingworth. The event is the third in a series of public conversations with lleading researchers exploring different aspects of the voice. The talk is curated by poet and writer James Wilkes, who is poet-in-residence at the UCL Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience withsupport from a Wellcome Trust Arts Award until August 2012.
