The Eye, the Brain and the Building: Space in fine art, neuroscience and architecture
How we experience, navigate, represent and conceive space is an essential part of our private lives and our interaction with other people. In the first Think Space event, artist Dryden Goodwin, neuroscientist John O’Keefe and the architect of UCL’s Sainsbury Wellcome Centre Ian Ritchie discuss how new discoveries and age-old techniques interact to give us new ways to perceive, create and interpret space as a vital constituent of culture.
The event will be followed by a drinks reception in the UCL Cloisters.
Think Space is a new forum for cross-disciplinary discussion and debate at UCL curated by Jeremy Melvin. The event is part of Bartlett 175, a special programme of events celebrating 175 years of architectural education at UCL. #Bartlett175
