Speaker information
Micheal Kenny, Director of the Mile End Institute & Professor, Queen Mary University of London
In this seminar Michael Kenny, author of the recently published "The Politics of English Nationhood", offers a longer view on the English question, exploring important shifts in English national consciousness over the last two decades and the politicisation of arguments about the constitution and territorial politics more generally. Against this background, he offers a critical perspective on current debates about West Lothian, the decentralisation of English governance and the future balance of the union.
