Impropera presents: Muso

Grant Museum of Zoology | Rockefeller Building (link Map)
21 University Street | London | WC1E 6JJ | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Alumni | Public | Student
Admission: £12
Ticketing: Ticketed and Pre-booking essential

Night has fallen on the Grant Museum of Zoology, the doors are closed and the museum staff have gone home, but something is stirring. The bats wings are twitching and the pickled moles are uncurling because the world's only improvising opera troupe, Impropera, have snuck in at twilight to sing the specimens to life.

Muso is an experimental new project that invites you into our museums after dark. Here you hunt for buried artefacts, share what you’ve found, hear from an expert and then enjoy musical performances made up on the spot about your discoveries. It is a first of its kind of performance; an explosive collaboration between opera and science; and you are invited.

The scene is set. The musicians are ready. Dr Chiara Ambrosio, Lecturer in History and Philosophy of Science, is on hand with expert perspective. Countless species of insect, fish, birds and beast are on stand-by. All we need is you - the audience - to come and get curious.
