Speaker information

Kes Thygesen, Co-Founder, Inovaz, Kes is one of the founding partners of Inovaz, the recruitment technology company behind OVIA (Online Video Interviewing Application) and Jobium (a video and location-based job board platform). With a background in economics and marketing he completed a thesis on video interviewing entitled “Recruitment for the YouTube Generation”, concluding that a web based video system for screening candidates had great potential. Asking structured video questions answered using a webcam, recruiters are able to screen candidates based on soft-skills without the need to interview in real-time. After 18 months the company is multi-award winning and gaining momentum with a presence in the UK, US and Mexico. With the belief that video interviewing should be the natural progression over phone-screening, Inovaz will continue to pursue its mission to shape the role of video in recruitment.
Rodrigo Martinez, Co-Founder and CEO, Inovaz, Rodrigo Martinez is the Founder & CEO of Inovaz – creators of OVIA.me & FatStudent.com. He founded Inovaz with the belief web applications should not only be functional but also visually and emotionally appealing to users. With innovation and creativity at the core of Inovaz, he has put together a team of amazing young professionals from all over the world with a passion for technology and design. Before starting Inovaz he worked for Satyam Computer Services in India and Monster.com in Czech Republic and the UK where he learned about the online recruitment industry. Rodrigo holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Kingston University) and an MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship from University College London.

Each year, UCL's Department of Management Science and Innovation and UCL Advances organises a series of guest lectures from leading entrepreneurs and investors. These will be held every Thursday evening (during term time) starting at 17:15pm. The venue is lecture theatre Roberts G06, Engineering Front Building, Malet Place on the main UCL campus.

This lecture is with the founders of Inovaz, the recruitment technology company behind OVIA (Online Video Interviewing Application) and Jobium (a video and location-based job board platform).
