Gergely Raccuja graduated from UCL in 2015 with First Class Honours in Politics, Urban Planning and Italian. Earlier this year, he beat over 120 submissions from 7 countries to win the prestigious Wolfson Economics Prize, worth £250,000. His winning submission answered the question: 'How can we pay for better, safer, more reliable roads in a way that is fair to road users and good for the economy and the environment?’

We look forward to welcoming you to an evening in conversation with Gergely, during which he will discuss his entry, ‘Paying for road use could be Miles Better,’ and his incredible journey from his time as a student of UCL through to the development of his career as an award-winning transport planner.

The event will take the format of an armchair-style interview with Professor Mark Hewitson, UCL School of European Languages, Culture and Society in the Cruciform Lecture Theatre, followed by a drinks reception in the Jeremy Bentham Room.
