CBC Workshop: Developing Behaviour Change Interventions: An Introduction for Beginners

Rockefeller Building (link Map)
21 University Street | London | WC1E 6JJ | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

Understanding behaviour and designing effective interventions to change behaviour is relevant to much of what we do within behavioural medicine. This practical one-day workshop, based on the book ‘The Behaviour Change Wheel – A Guide to Designing Interventions’ (Michie, Atkins & West, 2014) aims to put “flesh on the bones” of the UK’s Medical Research Council’s guidance on how to systematically develop and evaluate complex interventions, specifically its recommendations that interventions should be informed by relevant theories and specified by behaviour change techniques. The workshop brings together theory-based tools developed in behavioural science and shows how they interlink to guide the design and evaluation of behaviour change interventions.
