Crick Chat on Motor Neuron Disease

Location

The Francis Crick Institute
Midland Road | London | NW1 1HG | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

Motor neurone disease, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), affects approximately 5000 people in the UK and there is currently no cure.

Join Rickie Patani, a group leader at the Francis Crick Institute, associate professor at UCL’s Institute of Neurology and a consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, together with Michael Hanna, Director of the Institute of Neurology at UCL, as they discuss the challenges of researching the disease, and what’s being done to improve diagnosis and new therapies.

Crick Chats?are relaxed and friendly evening events that bring you face-to-face with researchers working at the Francis Crick Institute and our partner organisations.

Hear about their work, ask a burning question, or just enjoy a chat.

Crick Chats are free and open to all. No knowledge of science is required.

FREE but booking required.
