UrbanLab Films and the Migration Research Unit, UCL are pleased to present the London premiere of The Golden Temple, a film exploring the London Olympics.

The Golden Temple captures the spirit and atmosphere of the last year before the Olympic Games, exploring the construction of three temples: commercial, physical and spiritual. The film explores the grand narrative of the Games through the lenses of consumerism, leisure and worship, and from the perspective of a cast of local people: residents, activists, entrepreneurs and intellectuals.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with director Enrico Masi, journalist Mike Wells and Iain Sinclair, author of Ghost Milk (Penguin, 2012).
