Speaker information

Professor Amanda Sacker, Director, The International Centre for Lifecourse Studies in Society and Health (ICLS)

We all want to give our children a good start in life. Breastfeeding an infant is one of the many ways to do that. This talk will examine the latest evidence on the long-term benefits of breastfeeding and whether being breastfed can boost your chances of climbing up the social ladder.

Please note that this lecture replaces the talk originally advertised: Prof Yvonne Kelly 'A good start in life'. Professor Kelly's lecture will be rescheduled for the Spring 2014 term.
