Speaker information

George Marshall, Author

A witty, insightful, and groundbreaking take on one of the most urgent questions of our time: Why, despite overwhelming scientific evidence, do we still ignore climate change? The book is a synthesis of over 500 sources and interviews with experts in psychology and decision making (including Daniel Kahneman, Paul Slovic, Daniel Gilbert, Anthony Leiserowitz, Dan Kahan) climate scientists (including James Hansen, Michael Mann, Gavin Schmidt, Sir John Houghton) and leading figures from political, campaigning and faith networks. George Marshall also spoke extensively with people who oppose action on climate change – including a raucous evening as the guest of the Texan Tea Party.
