Professor Peter Wood, Emeritus Professor of Geography, UCL

Peter Wood is an economic geographer with long-term research interests in the effects of knowledge-based financial and business services growth on the economies of cities and regions. This lecture will reflect on the significance of the economic transformation of London during the past thirty years, and the consequences for regional development of the extraordinary dominance its services have now gained in the UK economy.
