On the occasion of the accession of Croatia into the European Union, the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies and the UCL European Institute are organising a round table debate featuring prominent academics, artists and authors from Croatia and Slovenia.

Having lived in the federal union of Yugoslavia and through the short-lived independence of these two nations only to join another supranational structure, our guests will bring an outsider but vital perspective on some of the key issues at stake both in their countries as well as in the United Kingdom.
