How does the stress of daily life affect our bodies and minds? Can stress really manifest as physiological symptoms? Is any stress beneficial? How can we get rid of the negative stresses/stressors?
UCL researcher Stacy Hackner and meditation instructor & shaman Jemma Jacobs present a workshop on the physiology of stress and some techniques for lessening it. Using approaches from neuroscience, psychology, tantra, and anatomy, we’ll discuss how physical and mental stress can affect your body, and practice some exercises to let go and turn our stress into positive energy.
This event is associated with the exhibition Stress: Approaches to the First World War.
