This summer we wanted to open up our collections to more people in order to share in the wonderful artwork we have stored in the Art Museum. We've organised a series of Pop-Up displays in July, where we'll be getting out prints and drawings from the 1490's to the present day.

Join us on Wednesday 8 July for a Pop-Up display of prints, drawings and plaster casts by the artist John Flaxman (1755-1826). The Flaxman Collection at UCL contains the largest single group of works by Flaxman, and includes plaster models, drawings and prints. Flaxman was acknowledged as the the leading sculptor in England during his lifetime and achieved an international reputation. His sculptural work ranged from gigantic monuments celebrating the live of national heroes such as Horatio Nelson, to modest and touching memorials for ordinary people.
