The content of most calendars has always been religious; but has religion been, for that reason, the main factor in the formation of calendars? This fourth workshop of the ERC project, ‘Calendars in Antiquity and the Middle Ages’, explores the interplay between religion, calendars, and more generally time reckoning.

The aim of the ERC Calendars project workshops is to share, discuss, and broaden our research with colleagues from the wider, international academic community. Our workshops are open to anyone interested.
