Drayton B06 | (link Map)
30 Gordon Street | London | WC1H 0AX | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

Speaker: Rosamund Yu (Joint Research Office, UCL PPI manager).

Increasingly research funders expect (and some funders like National Institute of Health Research (NIHR)) require researchers to have Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in research right from the stage of writing grant applications to dissemination of research. In her talk, Rosamund will address what is PPI and what do funders expect and why. She will also share innovative ways of recruiting PPI members and the challenges of doing so. Her talk will also address issues like when, how and what stages of research to involve PPI members and case studies about the same.

This topic may be particularly relevant to researchers involved in primary research, PhD and MSc students undertaking primary research, post-docs/early career researchers, research project coordinator. Everyone is welcome.
