Inspired by life drawings in the collection from the 16th to the 20th century, this workshop will explore the importance of life drawing for artists in understanding and interpreting the human figure in their work. Through practical drawing exercises led by Marc Woodhead we will investigate the different techniques and approaches that artists such as Tanzio da Varallo, John Singer Sargent, Augustus John and Henry Tonks have used to draw the human figure.
