Hugh Brody, Anthropologist, Author, and Filmmaker

UCL Mellon Programme and Freud Museum London proudly present: The Museum as Film Set - A three-part film series to mark the 25th anniversary of Freud Museum London

Cinema has long expressed fascination for museums and exhibitions, and museums are increasingly willing to welcome the moving image within their precincts. This series proposes to look at this complex relationship from a psychoanalytic perspective, by considering the camera’s capacity to ‘work through’ museological spaces and histories.

The screening will be followed by drinks and a conversation between anthropologist, author, and filmmaker Hugh Brody, and psychoanalyst and film scholar Andrea Sabbadini
