Roberts 422 | Roberts Building (link Map)
Malet Place | London | WC1E 7JE | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Alumni | Public | Student
Admission: FREE
Ticketing: Pre-booking essential

In this workshop we examine the uses and development of language, terms, and terminology in dates, calendars, and the related disciplines of astronomy and mathematics, as attested in inscriptions and documents of the Roman period and in medieval Arabic, Hebrew, and Latin scientific works. This is the second workshop of the ERC project ‘Calendars in Antiquity and the Middle Ages’. The aim of the ERC Calendars project workshops is to share, discuss, and broaden our research with the wider community.
