UCL’s Grand Challenge of Justice and Equality is holding a Round Table on Labour Market and Working Parents Post Brexit.

The Round Table will feature a broad range of speakers including views from Norway and Scotland and the perspectives of a labour market economist and a trade union representative. There will also be plenty of time for questions and debate.

Important provisions derived from EU legislation that affect working parents include minimum standards for maternity leave, unpaid parental leave, protection against pregnancy discrimination and equal treatment for part-time workers.

What will happen to these rights once EU law is repealed? Will they be retained? Could they even be strengthened where needed? Or will they be removed as “EU red tape”?

The event is free of charge, but you need to register in advance to attend.
