This lecture is a visually stunning presentation that addresses the early history and achievements of the Lost Civilsations of Central Africa. This intends to present the Kingdoms and Empires of Kongo, Kush, Medieval Nubia, Great Benin, Hausaland, and Kanem Borno.

Forgotten kingdoms that flourished in Central Africa during Ancient or Mediaeval times. We explore what life was like in these kingdoms and introduce great personalities such as Pharaoh Taharqo, Mai Idris Alooma and Ann Nzinga.

The lecture will close with a book signing of ‘’Everyday life in an early West African Empire’ and other publications.
