Room 2.18 | Chadwick Building (link Map)
Gower St | London | WC1E 6BT | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Alumni | Public | Student
Ticketing: Pre-booking essential

This PPI Workshop will be run with Macmillan Cancer Support and will explore how involving people can add value to study delivery. The workshop looks at how actively involving patients and the public can help researchers improve recruitment. The aim is to provide an in-depth exploration of the powerful way in which involving people in the design and development of research studies can impact on recruitment to trials and studies.

The session will cover the different stages in which patients can be involved, identifying and addressing barriers to PPI, the kinds of support researchers can access, and how to make sure PPI works for everyone. In addition, there will be a tour of the Clinical Research Facility at the end. There will also be opportunity to have a go at a range of interactive activities.
