Speaker information

Nahid Mohajeri Pour Rayeni, PhD Researcher, UCL Department of Geography

Part of the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) seminar series.

This presentation reports on research to quantify the variations in street patterns within and between cities. One aim is to show how the street patterns articulate the overall shape of the city and how this is also determined by external landscape factors. A second aim is to begin to analyse intra-urban variations in street-patterns and to relate this to the nature and volume of transport between different parts of the city.
